Dr. Rafael Trespalacios

Dr. Trespalacios completed his bachelor of science in biology and microbiology locally at UCF, when the idea of an affiliated medical school was only a dream. He then attended the University of South Florida School of Medicine and went on to become a board-certified ophthalmologist with distinctions throughout his medical and surgical training. Dr. Tres never lost sight of his vision of bringing a prestigious eye care facility to Central Florida. With hard work and the support of thousands of happy visually restored patients behind him, he and his team have been able to create TRES VISION Group with locations throughout Central Florida including Melbourne, Suntree, and Merritt Island. Notable Recognition As a professor of opthamology at the University of Central Florida college of medicine and a frequent contributor to opthamology literature, Dr. Tres continously adds to the field of opthamology. Here are few of his additional accomplishments and recognitions: Board certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Selected for Best Doctors 2013.

James N. McManus, M.D.

Dr. McManus is a comprehensive ophthalmologist, providing medical and surgical eye care to his patients. He specializes in cataract surgery (using premium intraocular lenses), glaucoma treatment, and dry eye management. He is revered by the Brevard County for recovering vision to thousands of its residents. After graduating cum laude from Dartmouth College, Dr. McManus earned his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1983. He completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School, as well as an internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Notable Experience Dr. McManus has decades of experience providing professional, compassionate care to his patients. Throughout his career, he has stayed on top of the latest advancements in the field of ophthalmology to best preserve and improve the vision of his patients. He has practiced in the local community for over 20 years, having previously worked at Florida Eye Care of Melbourne and the Eye Institute for Medicine & Surgery.

William Riehl Jr., O.D.

Dr. Riehl practices optometry at our SunTree location as an optometric physician. He graduated as a Doctor of Optometry in 1984 from the University of Houston. Lauren Hansen, O.D.

Dr. Hansen is an optometric physician at our Merritt Island Eye Center. She graduated on the Dean’s List from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor of science in 2009 then graduated with an additional bachelor’s degree in Vision Science from Nova Southeastern University five years later. In 2014 she graduated as a Doctor of Optometry on the Chancellor’s List from the same university. Notable Experience During her career, Dr. Hansen has served the Central Florida area as an optometric physician. Previously she held a role as an optometric physician at our Melbourne Eye Center but has since moved to Merritt Island as her main clinic. Jessica Luu, O.D., F.A.A.O

Dr. Luu is an optometric physician practicing at the Melbourne location. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Miami. She completed a second Bachelor of Science Degree in Vision Science while pursuing her Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University. The GP (Gas Permeable) Lens Institute awarded her for Clinical Excellence in the field of GP Contact Lenses in 2014. Following Optometry school, she completed her residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the White River Junction VA Medical Center in Vermont. The following year she earned her Fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and has presented and been a lecturer at the American Academy of Optometry’s annual meeting. Notable Experience Licensed to practice optometry in Florida and California, Dr. Luu screens for cataracts, glaucoma, red eye, dry eye and many other eye conditions. She has clinical experience in primary care and ocular disease. Michelle Hebert, O.D.

Dr. Michelle Hebert is an optometrist with over 20 years of experience who has lived on the treasure coast of Florida since childhood. After majoring in Biology at Meredith College in South Carolina, she earned her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. When she is not meeting with patients, she enjoys cooking, exploring, body surfing, and working out. She indulges in chocolate and has a Coton de Tulear dog named Ivan.
